Are you looking for a way to get involved and make a difference in our school community? The VMS PTA is looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to fill some of the following  positions for the 2026/2027 school year:

President

Leads the PTA, keeps everything running smoothly, and serves as the main voice connecting families, volunteers, and school leadership.

Vice President of Membership

Welcomes new members, runs membership drives, and helps grow and support our PTA community—especially at the start of the year.

Treasurer

Handles the PTA’s money by paying bills, tracking expenses, and keeping our finances accurate and transparent.

Secretary

Keeps us organized by taking meeting notes, sharing updates, and maintaining important PTA records.

Parliamentarian

Helps meetings run fairly and smoothly by guiding the board on bylaws, procedures, and elections.

Historian

Tracks volunteer hours and PTA activities and pulls everything together into our end-of-year report.

Financial Reviewer

Reviews PTA finances twice a year to make sure everything is accurate and handled responsibly.

Hospitality Chair

Creates a welcoming vibe at PTA events by organizing food, treats, and small touches that show appreciation.

Communications Chair 

Shares PTA news through social media, graphics, and the website to keep families informed and engaged.

8th Grade Promotion Chair

Plans the 8th grade promotion celebrations, décor, and fundraising to make the send-off extra special.

Fundraising Chair

Leads fundraising efforts that support school programs and help the PTA meet its goals.

Sponsorships Chair

Builds partnerships with local businesses and manages sponsorships that directly support VMS students.
